About

Hi there and welcome to This Tiny Blue House!

I’m Jenny and I hate writing bio pages.

If you really want to get to know me then your best bet is to follow my blog as I post about what’s going on in my life, parenting and simplifying our living space. If you want more details about me and this blog my first post here sums it up quite well.

In a nutshell though, I’m in my mid-thirties. I’m a stay at home mom to a miracle baby born in 2015. Before welcoming her into the world I suffered 3 losses: a still-born set of twins and 2 early losses. Prior to trying to grow our family I was a law-student turned teacher. I eventually got a graduate degree in education and had the privilege of working with some of the most amazing kiddos on the spectrum. I absolutely loved my career but ultimately gave it up to raise my little girl.

I live with my daughter Margs, husband Mer and a bunch of pets in a tiny blue house in a beautiful Canadian suburb.

If you want to see what I’m up to most days you should follow me on instagram. I’m pretty active there!

Talk to me. I love interact and having healthy discussion. Let’s chat!

  1. Thank you for sharing. It’s not easy putting it all out there for all to see. I just started blogging and it’s been so fun (thanks for “liking” my Ode to the Babies) I look forward to reading more!

  2. Your blog feels alive with all things human. Emotions flow within your writings (I’ve just discovered your blog). And “mama to 1 living child and 5 angels” – this made my heart melt. Looking forward to staying in touch with you.
    All the love. x
